Please Help it is very important that I get my database
working ASAP.

Here's what happened. I was entering info into a form in
my database. When my baby cried. I turned off my computer
without closing anything out properly.
When I turned my computer back on and attempted to
open my database I receive this error message

" The Microsoft Jet Database engine stopped the process
because you and another user are attempting to change the
same data at the same time."

I just don't get it.... I am the only user!!! Please
somebody help me!!!!!! I am running Windows XP and Access
2000

Ow....

This is an one of the best ways there is to irretrievably corrupt a
database. Turning off the computer in the middle of an Access session
is rather like turning off your ignition in heavy traffic on <busy
highway of your choice>. DON'T! Just leave it running, or close the
database correctly.

The first thing to try is to use Windows Explorer to open the folder
containing the database. Look for a file with the same name as the
database with a .LDB extension. Delete this file (it's a lock file
created by Access whenever it's needed).

If this doesn't work, try creating a brand-new, empty database and use
File... Get External Data... Import to import everything (tables,
forms, queries, reports, macros, modules) from your current database.
If this new database works, delete the old one and rename the new one.

I tried what was suggested but still i have noithing working. Is there anything else I can do???? Please don't tell me I have lost the whole database!
