Cannot Open Certain Links When Surfing

I have windows xp pro and since I bought it off a friend
I've found I can go to a website but quite often i am
unable to open a link in whatever site I'm in. ie I was
on the travel lodge site over the weekend and found the
hotel/dates I wanted and when I tried to click on the
Booking Details nothing happened.

I'm sure it's nothing much but it's driving me MAD!!

can anyone help?
 
You must have the same problem as I, the Javascript is not working or when
you click a link to a _blank target, you get nothing. I have been searching
for a solution myself.
