Cannot open asp pages in IE

I'm using Xp service pack 2, IE 6.0, IIS 5.1. I can't open asp page, it will
result an error :

Server Application Error
The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the
processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail
information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.

I already tried uninstall and install it again but it won't work, can
somebody help me? thanks ^^

Cannot open ANY ASP pages - or just those running on your IIS server?
 
Nope just in local asp page (sory forgot to tell ^^), actually i want to make
asp.net web application with visual studio 2003, when i choose new
project,Visual C# project and asp.net web application it will shown error :

The Web server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the Web project located at the following URL :
'http://localhost/WebApplication1'.'HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error'.

so i tried to typed localhost in IE and come out with this error :

Server Application Error
The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the
processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail
information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.

so i thought it was because of the IIS not the visual studio, can u help me
with this? sory i'm new to asp ^^ thanks a lot
