| After doing a disk clean up, defragmentation and running
| windows update (none of which operations had been done for
| over a year), it is now impossible to open the "Add/Remove
| Program" option. Same applies for Set Program Access and
| Defaults. I know that some children games have been
| removed at around the same date the pc stopped working
| properly. We cannot find the Windows 2000 CD... Any ideas
| on how to go about fixing this? Please help. Many thanks.

I posted this to the wrong thread......
This is caused by, strangely enough, Internet Explorer.
Since IE is now so integrated into the browser there is a specific DLL that
has not been correctly
registered in either Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer.
This is how we fix this.
