Cannot network following virus

I must have been hit with the virus. Suddenly I lost
connection to my home network and internet connection. I
use a wireless USB adaptor which I have reinstalled. Have
gone through Internet Connection Wizard but still no
connection. Network Connection shows wireless LAN being
enabled and working. Any ideas?

Can you bypass the LAN and connect directly?
