Hi, when I put either a new, empty cd-r or a cd-rw in & try to move photos
(or anyfiles) onto the cd it keeps coming up with a message saying that the
"D drive is inaccessable, incorrect function".
If I try to do it from Windows explorer I get the same message.
Also for some reason now the XP cd writng tool is not listed in the Picture
Tasks anymore. I used to use that alot. How do I get that feature back as I
really like it & used it alot.
I never had any problems before so the only thing that I have done recently
is a system restore, would that have caused it?
I would rather not do another restore unless I have to, so can anyone tell
me what is going wrong please?
Thanks for any help

You cannot use the "Move" command to send a file to a CD. You must use the
Copy to CD command. Move works only on your hard drive.
If you lost the Copy to CD command under Picture Task, you can get it back
by:
Open My Computer, right click on your CD drive listed there and on
Properties on the opening menu. Click on the Recording tab in the opening
window and check "Enable this drive..."

Many thanks, that worked perfectly!
Regards.

This probably happened when you used software like Nero, Roxio, etc. to copy
music to a CD. It takes over the CD drive and prevents XP from using it. Not
a big problem. Just use the same procedure again to get the Copy to CD
command under XP.
