I cannot log myself onto my computer, but am able to logon
as any of my kids or as the administrator. My email and
files are only accessible through my user name, so this is
a major problem. It will prompt me for a password, then
says its loading my settings, but goes into never-never-
land. When I end the task, it says that explorer.exe is
not responding. What - I wasn't using explorer??? When I
am able to log in as another user or administrator, it
says that "MCI32.OCX or one of its dependencies is not
correctly registered: file is missing or invalid".
MCI32.OCX seems to have to do with ActiveX - what does
that have to do with my ability to login? I removed some
programs from my system the day before this happened and
was wondering if I inadvertently deleted something that is
critical to starting up with my user name.

I would be must appreciative if you could post any helpful
suggestions in response to this message as right now I
have no access to my mailbox.

Thanks so much,
Sharon

when you turn on machine and straight after you hear it beep hit the f8
key several times this will give you the option to enter in safe mode
try to log on in safe mode and see if it works at all this is not a fix
but to see if windows will accept your user name. if that works you may
be able to go into recycle bin under your user name and reinstall the
files you deleted that may be a fix. or you may even be able to
undelete files from daniel or kelly's logon. but system administrator
may be best. if that doesnt work you can wait for some brainiac on here
to find a better solution or you can make me a coffee and i will have a
look.............................................
