Cannot log onto secure websites

Can anyone assist me in solving the loss of my computer to
log onto 'secure' websites with microsoft 2000 pro and
internet explorer? I have worn myself out atttempting to
resolve this issue.

Here is a link about XP, but most should apply to W2K also. You may also
want to try booting into safe mode with networking to try as long as you
have firewall protection other that a software firewall as that will disable
