Cannot Log Onto Or Find Opponents On Microsoft Backgammon, Reversi, etc.

Last few days I have not been able to log onto the game
server...or if log on was completed the server was not
able to find opponenets on Backgammon, Reversi or any
other game where another opponent is required. Can
anyone tell me why or how to fix this?
 
Who knows? Just as many others, I suspected that the critical updates were the culprit. However, using the system restore feature to revert back to a configuration prior to the updates did not correct the problem. I also tried all of the Windows XP internet games, even the ones I never played before - same result. Hopefully, people will continue to post with this problem, so that it's actually recognized/acknowledged as a problem by microsoft
 
when I want to play internet backgammon,,,,,or other games,,,,,,it says that searching for an opponent.....yet nothing happens.......I have notice this in the last 3 days. Please advise. Thankx!
 
There are issues on the game access from Internet Games in Windows XP. It
is caused by NOT current updates from Windows Update, NOT because you've
updated your anti-virus program, and NOT because of something you've done to
your computer.

There apparently is an issue on the Zone end itself, and that is being
investigated.

Check the microsoft.public.games.zone newsgroup for further information.

I will post information here as soon as I hear anything.
