I am the primary programmer on the Volunteer System at Harvesters. I cannot
gain exclusive access to the main program to install new changes as of today.
I had everyone sign off and I also did the same. I even stopped my PC in an
attempt to close the Volunteer.ldb file. I tried signing on and using
Tools/Database Utilities/Compact and Repair Database, but it tells me that
someone at my PC's networkID location is signed on at my PC ID other than
myself. Still the Volunteer.ldb file remains on the server where all
programs and data are located.
The programs and data are split and both reside on the server and all
activity occurs over the network. Noone has Volunteer.mdb on their PC. Why
can't I sign-off when noone else is signed on and have it remove the
Volunteer.ldb and Data.ldb files?
