Please help! I've been dealing with this all week.
I'm running Windows 2000. It's on my work network.
I have VS.net 2003 Standard installed (been using it a year on this
machine).
I have Crystal Reports XI Developer installed (been using that for six
months). That was purchased as an upgrade to Crystal Reports 9 (not
developer).
I cannot load any Word, Excel, or Crystal Reports documents. I cannot load
any applications which use these documents, or at least the features of
applications which access these documents. I can load the editors fro each
of these file types, but I cannot load documents from within them.
The error message I get alternates between a "{whatever} has generated
errors and needs to close." and:
The instruction at "0x77fcb21d" referenced memory at "0x046020d5". The
memory could not be "read".
I have run Spybot S&D, AdAware, and scanned for viruses using Symantec's
software all several times each. The only thing I can think of that changed
during that time was that I installed Activesync 3.8 (which worked fine)
about a week before the problems began. I defragged about the same time. I
uninstalled activesync shortly after I began having problems.
I thought the problem was only with Crystal Reports at first, so I
uninstalledc and reinstalled. I have updated Office and Windows.
Does anyone have any thoughts about this?
