Give it some time, or, perhaps, try via a different ISP if possible. Try
from a different location where you can write the downloaded file to a CD or
USB key.

"Error reading setup initialization file". Anything I
can do to avoid downloading the whole thing again as I
am
on dial-up?
No, it looks as if your download is corrupt. You need
to empty your
Temporary Internet Files, then download and save a fresh
copy of the MSAS
installer by following the download links from
http://www.microsoft.com/spyware
You can check the validity of your downloads by right-
clicking on the
downloaded installer, select Properties, and click
the "Digital Signature"
tab. If the Digital Signature does not verify, then you
have a corrupt
download.

I have the same problem, and it definitely is a problem
with the download.
The download seems to work fine, I can see it go up to
6700 KB, but the actual downloaded file is smaller about
4000 KB. If I try it again, after delting temporary
internet files etc. the same thing happens, only with a
slightly different file size.
This seems to be a downloading problem and not a
antispyware problem, but because of this I cannot install
MS antispyware.
I could not find a solution in de MS KnowledgeBase.
Anybody can help me ?
