I tried double-clicking my Windows Media Player icon and got this
message. "The file
wmp.dll has a version number of 9.0.0.3250 where 9.0.0. 3349 was
expected. Windows
Media Player is not properly installed, and must be reinstalled. Do you
want to install
the player from the microsoft Web site?
yes no

I clicked yes, and on the website when I click download-it says page
cannot be displayed.
So what can I do?

James.

From Zach's site:

Q: I get the message "wmp.dll version xx.x.x.xxxx expected, but version
yy.y.y.yyyy is present.
A: Reboot your system and then run "c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP"
to fix this.

Did you mean type it in run? I did that and
"c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP" could not be found, and when
I click "download" on the microsoft website it still says page cannot
be displayed.

James

Type this in Start, Run:

%windir%\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP
