Cannot install Roxio

In attempting to track down another problem, I uninstalled
EasyCDCreator, and also set up a second Win2K installation.

After fixing the other problem, when I try to re-install CD Creator, I
get the message from Windows Installer "The system administrator has
set policies to prevent this installation"

I am logged on as an administrator.

I can install CD Creator in the new partition, but not in the old one
where all the other stuff still resides.

I have looked at policies and cannot see anyting that would prevent
the installation.

Where should I look?

Thanks,

Phil

Congrats! (on removing EasyCDCreator, that is! :-)

Very discerning of the system administrator. Such a sensible policy! :-)

Google? .... for a proper CD writing program that is.

But, seriously though, there are much better CD writing programs
available, EasyCDCreator just isn't one of them.

I'm sorry if this doesn't seem very helpful but quite frankly, in this
instance, your 'problem' would appear to be a (welcome) feature. Oh, and
remember that saying about dark clouds and silver linings? Can you guess
which part of your 'black cloud' is the silver lining? :-)

On the other hand, you could go to Microsoft.com and get the "window
installer cleanup utility". Install it,
run it and pick ecdc and remove it. Then try installation again.
