Cannot install programs without admin Account on XP Home

Is there an administrator account in WinXP? Am trying to
load some software on a preloaded XP Home Ed. machine and
always directs me to use the administrator account. There
is none. When I type in administrator I get the message
that the account does not have privelages to log
on????????????
 
Restart or start-up computer,immediatly tap the F8 key,enter in
safe-mode with networking,then enter xp in ADM. capacity.
