Guys,

I am picking up an error when trying to install Nortons AV 2003 on Win2kPro
off a disk or off the company server which is really causing me problems as
I cannot rely on scanning:

Unable to continue
Not enough disk space on the drive selected. This program requires at least
57,898 kb to work.

BUT
1. I have nearly 8 gigs on the c:/ drive where I wish to do the install.
2. I had installed the previous version - 2002 - before running the
install.2002 worked perfectly. I also removed the Live Update prior to
attempting to install 2003.
3. I attempted turning off some of the application process excet explorer.
Some processes I could not turn off. Still did not work.
4. I removed some unused programs.

....This is so strange any ideas.?

I figured it out after finding this obscure reference on their site:

"Copy a large file or folder from another drive to the drive you are trying
to install to, and then run the installation again. This will force the
installation to recalculate the amount of available hard drive space and the
installation should continue. "

---- Don't ask me why - but this worked - what a wierd situation.
