Hi !
A normal user, from a Windows XP Pro box, cannot drag 'n'drop a print queue
from the print server.
He sees all shared printers, but when he tries to install one of them, a pop
up appears saying that the printer cannot be connected because of a policy.
The user cannot create a local printer, .... and for that, I cannot follow
the instructions of the guide for troubleshooting network printing problems.
A local administrator can create a local printer, and install a network
print queue...
I guess that the problem comes because of the printer drivers cannot
install.
What should I try to correctly diagnose the problem ?
- policy problem ? Which setting ?
- NTFS rights on the %systemdrive% ? Where ?
- User rights ? in the GPO, the right "Load printer drivers" is not
configured...
Your help will be greatly appreciated !
Thanks a lot in advance !
