cannot install HP printer becasuse of INF failure

When trying to install the HP Photosmart on my Sony Vaio
XP - error message reads required sextion was not found
in INF. HP says it is my computer. Any suggestions?

Have you tried updated drivers from the HP website.... www.hp.com
