After downloading reader for Vista Beta get Error:
AdbeRdr70_en_US_FEAD_error
Access is denied.

File: Adobe Reader 7.0.8.msi

Using Vista RC1

I downloaded the same Adobe Reader and it runs without any
problem on my Vista RC1 build 5728 systems.

It lets others know that the problem does not lie with the
Adobe program. It means you have a problem with your
system, either hardware or Vista. So far you are the only
one that has reported a problem. Who else is having problems?

I would also think the problem lies within the system. I just downloaded it
as well and it works just fine. However I will mention something of note. I
had dl Trend Micro anti virus and installed it. I personally felt that it
loaded down the system and slowed it operations siverly. It did not want to
uninstall. Had quite a time of it and had to clean the registery with
regedit. When I did finally get it uninstalled and rebooted, everything
seemed to be ok. However while installing Adobe reader, a window poped up
stating that Trend Micro antivirus had stopped the instillation. I have no
clue what remains in the register placed there by their beta version 14. I
checked the register again and found one entry for Trend Micro and removed
it. Adobe Reader installed after that without incident. The reason I mention
this is possibly a antivirus program could be the cause. I am now running
AVG free edition antivirus software and have so far had good luck. It is
much less of a load on the system. I will use AVG until something better
comes along for Vista..
