cannot instal new programs

When i put a disk into the drive to install something i
get a message that says i cannot install it because i am
running windows in safe mode. I cannot figure out how to
turn off safe mode...please help

Click on the START button, and hit TURN OFF COMPUTER.

When the window comes up, hit RESTART. The screen will
go black after the computer saves your settings. When
this happens, begin hitting the F8 button at the top of
your keyboard until a menu comes up. This menu will give
you a list of startup options. Use your up and down
cursor arrows on your keyboard to move to the option
telling you to start up normally (I forget the exact
wording for it). This should ensure that you don't start
up in safe mode. Try installing your program when
windows comes up.
