Hi,
I get the following message on two different XP systems when trying to
import and MPG:
Canada01.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to
fire events from

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bill

Actually I just found papajohn's post on the subject. Sounds like a lot of
trouble for what I have in mind. I have about 6 hours of 3.5 minute films on
analog tape (Sony 8mm). I am using Iomega SuperDVD to do the video capture
(mpeg-2). MyDVD seems to work fine with that format, I just thought MS Movie
Maker might be more powerful for editing etc. I need to clip the ends of
each segment, and add a separate audio track before burning the DVD.
Thanks,
Bill

As long as you have a method to import those files, you just need to convert
them to AVI so you can edit them in Movie Maker. Not too big a deal. I use
AVS converter to do that ...it cost $29.95 but is a great program for a
number of things; not only converting between all the different formats.
Once you convert you can import them into Movie Maker and do the editing you
have in mind.....If you plan on burning to a dvd, save your movie as DV-AVI
to retain your quality. Good luck....here is the url to download.com and to
the AVS converter.....it has a trial that will put a watermark on your movie
if you want to try it out first.
