In Windows Explorer, what happens when you
double-click on this JPG file?
..

I'd first of all check you have the right versions of all the MovieMaker
files. Check my blog entry
http://blogs.msdn.com/deanro/archive/2005/01/18/355050.aspx for details on
this.

If everything is OK then click Start Run and type in regsvr32
"<SystemDrive>:\Program Files\Movie Maker\wmm2filt.dll" where <SystemDrive>
is where your Windows is installed (normally C).

You should hopefully see an message saying DllRegisterServer succeeded. See
if that helps.

If you're still having problems then try to turn off some filters in the
compatibilty tab. See this blog entry for further details
http://blogs.msdn.com/deanro/archive/2004/08/22/218501.aspx and then try
again.
