Cannot get to secure sites

Out of nowhere my wifes machine cannot access any secure server. I do not
see any reaon for this. I have run adware, spybot, and microsofts
antispyware program and it has not helped.

Also I cannot access the windows update site.

Do you have Norton's firewall running? How about another one aside from
Microsoft's? That might be your problem.

You can also try this.

Close IE > START > RUN and type in "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" without the quotes
hit enter.

I tried disableing the firewall. It is from CA. That did not help.

If the other link provided gives you nothing you could check your
certificates in tools, internet options, content tab to see if any are
expired.
