Hi, When I push the "track changes" button the view
changes to "final showing markup," and ALL CHANGES ever
made show up. I cannot find anywhere an "accept all
changes" command. The troubleshooting menu says to change
the options on the "show" menu so that not all are
checked, but the command never showed up. This is
furstrating! Do I have to create a new document in order
to have all changes accepted?

Make sure that the reviwing toolbar is checked, you can do this by going to View>Toolbar>Reviewing

There will be a button to "Accept All Changes" on that toolbar. That should work for you.

THANK YOU. Actually, I had to go into the "cutomize
toolbar" menu, find the command, and drag it up to the
toolbar in order to be able to do this, but you put me on
the right track!

This is on the toolbar by default. If you click the down arrow beside the
button with a check on it (the ToolTip says "Accept Change"), you'll get a
menu that includes "Accept All Changes in Document." There's a similar
option to Reject All Changes, Delete All Comments, etc. Note the other
options to Accept All Changes Shown. Because you can opt to have only the
changes made by specific reviewers displayed (Show | Reviewers), you can
accept all the changes made by a specific reviewer and leave others intact
(or change the view and reject them).
