Cannot get my first VPN to work

I'm setting up a VPN between a Win2000 Workstation
acting as a VPN host, and a Win2000 Server used as
a client. When activating the VPN connection on the
client I get a connection but that's about all. I am simply
unable to access any of the shares on the VPN host.
