I have a cable broadband using a cable modem hooked up to
a linksys router which serves as my DHCP server.
When I first start my Windows 2000 machine, TCP/IP finds
the DHCP server and I receives an IP address. If I
perform a ipconfig /release, then I am unable to
successfully perform an ipconfig /renew. It uses the
default windows ip address. I have tried uninstalling
tcp/ip, the adapters etc. thanks in advance for any ideas.
