Cannot get Dell A940 to print - HELP

I replaced my color cartridge and ever since then, nothing prints. I get
very slight outline of some things, mostly nothing and a few grayish color
words. What is wrong?

Does the printer print OK in black?
If so then your new colour cartridge may be faulty or maybe you did not remove
the sealing tape (assuming it had one).
If the black cartridge does not work and it worked OK before you changed the
colour cartridge and it has ink in it then clean the contacts on the cartridge
and the ones they mate with in the printer and make sure both cartridges are
pushed well home.
