In previous installs of Win2K Pro I've had no problem
adding a scheduled task to run at various times. Recently
I had my system in for repair and upgrade which involved a
re-install of Win2K.

Since the completion of that I have not been able to
successfully add a scheduled task and have it run - either
at the scheduled time or by manually selecting "run" by
right clicking on the task. When the task is highlighted
it shows the "next run time", "last run" (never), "status"
(could not start) and "last result" (0x0).

WHen I've installed some software which automatically adds
a scheduled task (e.g. Norton System Utilities) those run
fine and I have not run into problems modifying them.

ANy clues why I can't add a new scheduled task and have it
run?

Thanks

Scheduled Tasks|Advanced|View Log may provide more details. If it involves
network resources, make sure the user account has permissions to the
resources and also use UNC paths as mapped drives won't exist when no one is
logged on.

This may also help.
