I just got a 64 bit amd athelon and wanted to try the new windows 64 bit. I
downloaded the trial version and saved the ISO to a CD. When I select setup,
it tells me to boot up from the disk. I have tried several times to do this,
but I just end up restarting my computer. For some reason it will not boot
from the disk. I have changed the settings in the bois to read from cd rom
but still nothing. Can anyone offer assistance. Thank you.

Hi,

Did you just copy the .iso to the CD, or did you create a new disk from an
image file? An .iso file is an image file, and burning it to CD is treated
just like you were copying a CD. If you just copied the .iso to CD, then you
have not done it properly.

The ISO file is a CD image file. How did you save it to CD ?? If you just
saved it to a CD, it won't work. You need to use something like Nero to read
the ISO file and burn that to a CD.

You probably burned the ISO file as data onto the CD. It will not work
that way as you must burn the file as an image file. You can do that by
using Nero or Roxio.
