Cannot forward messages with imbedded pictures.

I am using Microsoft Outlook Express and Comcast is my provider. I have
Microsoft Vista. When I forward a message with imbedded pictures, the text
of the message is delivered, but in place of the picture is a small box with
a red x. Can I correct this?

How do you know that happens? Is that what the recipients are
reporting to you? If so, perhaps *their* computers are not set up properly.
To check your computer, forward that email with embedded pictures to
yourself. When it arrives, can you see the pictures? If not, go to Tools,
Options, Security, uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."
and uncheck "Block images..."

You are wrong about either Outlook Express of Vista. Outlook Express cannot
be installed on Vista.

I did this on my computer, although I did receive the message and could see
the pics. I then asked my husband to change his settings, he did, and still
no pics. It seems to be an issue only when I "forward" a message with
imbedded pictures. Curious. Thanks for your help.

Well you are right. It turns out that I am using Outlook Express provided by
Comcast and Windows mail. Now that you know that, do you have any
suggestions?

If you are using Vista, you are using Windows Mail, not Outlook Express.
Like Frank said, Outlook Express cannot be installed on Vista.

Your problem may be caused by your anti-spyware or spamware program. Try
turning them off to see if it helps.

Which is causing trouble and what version of Windows is OE on?

I'm not sure if you answered my question, what happens when you forward
that email to yourself? If you did so, and the pictures are visible on your
computer when you receive that forwarded email, then there is nothing
wrong with the settings on your computer. The recipients who see
only red X's (where the pictures should be) have something wrong with
*their* settings, or *their* antivirus is stripping the pictures.
