Cannot find server?

WindowsXP, I.E.6, ZoneAlarm5.1.011(free version), DSL connection.

I'm experiencing a random connectivity problem that occurs after my
computer comes out of the standby mode. I'm receiving cannot find server or
cannot find page messages. I can reboot or disable zonealarm and connection
is fine. But, the time frame is short... I do not experience the problem,
Yet should my computer be in the standby mode for a long period of time I
will not be able to connect without rebooting.

One tech at my ISP said that ZoneAlarm was in a lock-down mode and that I
need to contact ZoneAlarm. Another tech has advised me to use my device
manager/open Network adapters, (Realtek)/Properties/Power Management and
select one of the boxes. "Allow the computer to bring the computer out of
standby" or "Only allow management stations to bring the computer out of
standby."

Being a newbie, I would appreciate some direction and advice as to which of
the recommendation (if either) would be appropriate. Thank you.

hey i dont know whats causing the problem. i have the
same problems too with zone alarm it will stop me from
connecting to the internet and then once i turn it off
everything is fine...i checked the block list and set the
conncetions that are being blocked that should be allowed
to ask the internet so i set them to accept (note: this
is for out going connections only so chances are its zone
alarm ive had problems with it too like i
said....hopefully some one here can help you...but my
suggestion is to get rid of Zone Alarm and get a better
Fire Wall then Zone Alarm sorry im not of any help though.

There have been a lot of problems with version 5.1 ,see the forums on
Zonelabs site. Many recommendations are to stick with an earlier version
4.5. I tried 5.1 after no problems with 4.5,I soon removed it & went back to
4.5!!
