Paul

I used to be able to get to Hotmail on my WinXP home PC.
Just a few days ago, I cannot sign in to Hotmail anymore.
Each time I try, I get the page that says "The page
cannot be displayed" with the "Cannot find server" in the
top bar. I can still get to Hotmail on another PC with no
problem. Is there a setting that was changed? How do I
reset the change?
Thanks and regards.

I can tell you what's probably wrong, but I don't know how
to fix it. This is a symptom of the 0-bit Cipher Strength
problem I am having (See message posted 10:49 p.m. today).

Go to the Help menu and select "About Internet Explorer".
The cipher Strength should say 128-bit, but my guess is
yours says 0. If you are using something other than IE
6.0 on Windows XP, there is a fix listed at:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-
us;q261328

Good Luck.

ALOT of people are having this problem! And it is NOT
anything to do with the Cipher Strength. I am having the
same problem and my Cipher Strength is at 128 also.

I downloaded Netscape's browser and am able to get to my
hotmail account fine. What a load of crappola. You need
a netscape browser to get to a Microsoft site!!!

As I posted before, I sure wish Microsoft would deal with
this issue in a more responsible fashion!
