When I try to visit a webpage or site that is mistyped or doesn't exist, IE
6 takes very long time to notify me that the website or webpage does not
exist. 95% of the times IE freezes, and when I want to click on the Stop
button or close the window, it becomes unresponsive and a message comes up
stating if I want to End IE task.
Is there a corrupt file? How to fix?
Please help me out .. Thank a bunch
Gino

Thank you for your response. But I'm free of spyware/adware. I have run all
those tools, but I think this has to do with a corrupt IE6 file.
Is there an option to reinstall IE?
Thanks

Its a longshot, but just check your firewall? Try disabling it for a few
seconds and seeing if it makes any difference. Don't forget to re-enable
it again as soon as you're done testing.

Without knowing more than the subject I am seeing:

Once in My Network Places, right click your connection, Enable.
