receiving "The page cannot be displayed" along with
"Cannot find server or DNS Error".
i've researched "dejanews" and have noticed LOTS of
people have experienced the same thing.
in my case it is INTERMITTENT and seems to occur
when i start heavy activity (56K dial-up). by this, i mean
i may be doing a download, opening up a few web sites, etc.
even if i terminate my connection then dial back up, i get
the same thing. the only way to get a connection at that
point is to reboot.
i've seen the other suggestions from my research so there
is no need to cut-and-paste in what i have seen (i.e. the
MS KB articles, the lebeouf web site, etc.).
if someone is experiencing the same issue INTERMITTENTLY
(not secure web sites) and a reboot is the only recourse, i'd
be curious to know if you have come up with a solution.
oh yeah, this is a XP SP1 system that i have the problems.
on my laptop (XP, no SP1) i don't have the problem.
thanks!
