I just cannot get explorer to work. I am using XP pro - fully updated and Explorer 6 again fully updated.

My internet connection works - I can use Firefox Mozilla and Outlook for emails - its just Explorer that refuses to work.

Same messgae every time DNS Error.

Any kind person out there with any useful ideas.

Many thanks

Several ... some you'll like, some maybe not.

1. Don't bother 'fixing' it as MS can't be bothered, so why should you
2. Reboot your PC ... this will clear the DNS cache.
3.
[font=arial, helvetica, sanserif]Clear (flush) the DNS cache manually ... run "ipconfig /flushdns"
4. Install Linux ... no IE, no errors, no infections, no spyware, no viruses, no nasties what so ever. Big learning curve though.
5. Spyware may be a cause ... what protection do you have?

I'll think of more later ...

Thanks for advice

Provider is BT Broadband

Spyware \firewall not problem as I've tried without them and still same problem.
