Hi Carmen,
Try these steps:
1. While IE is up, go to Tools -> Internet Options.
2. In the General Tab, click on Delete Files. Confirm that
you also what to delete offline files. Make a habit of
doing this regularly..works wonders!
3. Click on Delete Cookies (if this button is present).
4. Go to Security tab. Click on the Internet icon to
highlight it, then click on the Default level button.
Security should be set to Medium.
5. Go to the Connections tab. Look for the connection you
use in the list of Dial up settings.
6. Highlight the connection you're using, click on the
Settings button to the right. Make sure that Use proxy
server unchecked. click on the OK button.
7. You'll then be back to the Connections tab, click on
the LAN settings button. Make sure that Use proxy server
unchecked. click on the OK button.
8. You'll be taken back to the Connections tab. Click on
Apply button, then click on Ok button.
9. Close IE, wait a couple of secs then try opening it
again. That should work.
10. If that doesnt work, you may need to place DNS server
settings.
Hope this will help you.

IE is unable to find the server. My modem is working
fine; I am able to access the net with Netscape, but IE is
useless.
