When trying to access I/E 6 via my Desktop, I get the message "Cannot find
server Microsoft I/E."

I still have Windows 98 O/S & my ISP is AOL (I know, I know...).

I have to use I/E specifically to send some reports tonite & I don't know
what to do!

Not a lot of info, but I 'll give a shot in the dark as I 'm going to bed
now, try to clear your caches and delete your cookies from the IE Properties.
Then Open the run command ad type this:
ipconfig /flushdns click [OK] and reboot your computer and try.

If no joy try this download the winsock fix from here:
http://www.nasstec.co.uk/tools.html
Run it and Reboot your computer and I hope it will work for you or any body
can come and give you the right fix/procedure.
HTH.
Please write back with your result and if you need further help.
Regards,
nass

I have never heard of that error message. Is that the exact, complete error
message?
What are you doing when you get it, just double clicking the IE icon on the
desktop?

Try going to Start | Run and typing
iexplore
and pressing Enter.
