Cannot find GWL97.xla

when I try to open or close a file in other then safe mode
xl flashes cannot find GWL97.xla, I am using office 97,
everything works of in safe mode. Can anyone Help, I am
new at excell, but am used to lotus 123.

I beleive GWL97.xla is a Groupwise plugin. It can wreak all types of havok
in Excel 97. We generally tell our clients to delete the file from Microsoft
Office\Office\XLStart. It sounds like the file has already been deleted, now
you just need to reset your toolbars. In Excel - View-Toolbars-Customize and
reset each one thats checked.
