Cannot find file type??

I recently changed hard drives and screwed up by not copying all of my photo files. Instead I moved all of them and in the process I lost them or so I thought. After some searching and searching I finally found them in "MY ALBUMS" folder but the pictures seem to be in an ABM file type? I have never heard of this and wanna convert them back to JPG type. Can someone please help with this situation??

Where is the old hard drive? Maybe the files
are still on it?

Could you explain how you "moved" the files?
What software was used for this exercise?
