Cannot find dictionary?

I cannot look up a word in the dictionary. I cannot seem to find the
dictionary. There is no research option under my "tools". I have tried
pressing crtl and f1 and that did nothing. I do not know what version of
microsoft I have and the office assistant does not help me find that either.
Please someone help.

g'day,
the whole dictionary thing is a mircosoft works thing, theres probly some
sort of plug-in type thing you can download fo word or just download a
dictionary of the net
