We're having a problem with one of our users receiving encrypted emails. The
solution from the MS site said to exchange signed emails and save the
person's name to Contacts; however when we try that we get the message that
the contact folder can't be found. I've removed and reinstalled the outlook
address book and redesignated the contacts folder to show up as the outlook
addrss book but to no avail. What am I missing?

Thanks, Dave

State EXACTLY how you're trying to do this. Include your Outlook version,
your delivery location setting, and what type of account you're using.

We're running Outlook 2003 (SP2), email delivery is set to the Server, we're
using Microsoft Exchange Server for the account type. I sent a "signed"
email to the individual and he was unable to add my email address to his
contacts (by right-clicking and selecting "add to outlook contacts" with the
error message as stated.

Thanks, Dave

Are you both using the same Exchange server? Has the person with the
problem tried a new mail profile?

Yes, we're on the same server; we sit right next to each other. I'll give
the new profile a try. Do you recommend copying the existing profile or
starting from scratch?

Always create a new mail profile from scratch. Copying the mail profile is
likely to copy the problem.
