Cannot find cmdui.prf anywhere on my harddrive

My piece of _____ Frontpage 2000 opes the splash screen,
but hangs up. However, I cannot find the cmdui.prf file
to delete it.

I have already uninstalled Microsoft Office Professional
and reinstalled it twice: And, I still get the same d__N
problem.

So, other that reformating the hard drive and staring
over from scratch, what do I do to fix this (^*%^^(_)+
problem?

Did you check to see that your folder preference is set to view 'hidden'
files and folders?

Check out 'Google' for a program called Registry Vac. The first several
uses are free and it might correct the problem. Try this before
reformatting the hard drive. It might be a registry problem as well.

I've also found with buggy installs that running a check with Norton Win
Doctor after uninstalling a program and then defragmenting the drive before
reinstalling can help.

And honestly, if you've been running all sorts of programs and visiting all
sorts of websites in the past few years on the same machine, a formating of
the hard drive and reinstallation of things will greatly speed things up.
It will be a day long process but it's worth it.
