Cannot find certain sites ?

Installed W2K, got all latest updates and all works fine.
But... certain sites cannot be found, like ebay.com
Machine is on a linksys router, and other machines, which
are using the same DNS servers can find the site without a
problem. I cannot find out why, as all setting are the
same.

On those machines can have you tried nslookup to see if the name is being
resolved?

If this is an AD domain, are all clients only pointing to the internal DNS
server?

Have you verified that the internal DNS server can resolve internet names?

I have also known this to be an MTU issue, when some machines cannot open
some sites through an NAT device.
Try this:
ping -f -l 1472 www.ebay.com
1472 is the MTU value you use if the MTU is 1500, which should be the
Maximum Transmission Unit on a LAN interface.
