There does not appear to be an Adobe Acrobat previewer for Outlook. Does
anyone know where this can be found?

Yes...this works OK. A double click takes me out from Outlook and opens up
the Acrobat file in a separate window OK. However a single click should open
up the Acrobat file within the Outlook window...just as it does for a Word
document. Outlook suggests that there should be an Acrobat "previewer"
installed, as well as the Acrobat Pro software. It takes me to the
Windows/Outlook website in order to locate and download this
"previewer"...but it doesn't seem to exist.

Any suggestions ?

Do you have V8 of Acrobat Reader installed?

No. I have the full Adobe Acrobat Professional ver. 7.0 installed. Do I
need to install Acrobat Reader ver.8.0 as well to get the 'previewer' to work
as it should ? If so, can I have the full Acrobat Pro v.7.0 and Acrobat
Reader v.8 both installed together ? ...or should I upgrade to the full
acrobat ver.8 ?

Does it work for anyone else ?

It's not a major issue...as I can see attached Acrobat docs with a
double-click...but it would be satisfying to see it work 100% as it should.

While I believe you can have Acrobat 7 and Acrobat Reader 8 installed
simultaneously, I'd choose upgrading to Acrobat 8. WHile I understand that
the PDF previewer for Outlook is part of both Acrobat 8 and Acrobat Reader
8, since Acrobat can read PDFs as well as create them, I would find it
overkill to have both installed, even though they wouldn't be the same
versions.

OK... problem is resolved. When I installed Acrobat Reader 8.1 then the
single click to open a PDF file from inside Outlook works okay. I have been
advised that there have been many changes between 8.0 and 8.1 to bring
Acrobat in line with Office 2007 and iron out any bugs. 8.1 contains the
Acrobat previewer.

Incidentally, there is no problem with having the full Adobe Acrobat
Professional 7.0 installed alongside Acrobat Reader 8.1.
