cannot enable autocomplete in IE..

I do not have to option to enable auto complete for
passwords and forms. I can only auto complete web address.
 
You didn't state which OS and Updates to IE you are using. If it is XP SP-2
it may be a problem I am unaware of.

Otherwise, see here, as there may be a restriction on FormSuggest - disables
AutoComplete for forms:

As you would need to access, and possibly edit the Registry, be sure to
*export the registry key* as a back-up in the event you make a mistake. You
can then import the key and restore it to the previous state.

You might also back up the entire Registry first by Start>Run> Type
"Scanregw" (No Quotation marks)>OK.
