Running XP Home fully updated.

As an Administrator, Desktop icon D&D to Start Menu and Quick Launch work
properly.

As a Limited Client, these same D&Ds produce a black Stop Sign (circle with
a diagonal line thru it) on both the Start Menu and Quick Launch.

On another computer XP Home PC, the process works just fine for Limited
Clients.

What setting should be changed to fix the PC where the D&D does not work.

Have not found any articles addressing this phenomenon.

Look forward to an informed reply.

Thank you...

Jan...

I falied to mention that both these options were checked. That's the
problem, I think.

When check in Administrator Client, the Desktop D&D to the Start Menu and
Quick Launch works properly, but does not when checked in the Limited
Client.

Searching for a resolution to allow Desktop D&D when [Y] "Enable dragging
and dropping" is checked.

Thanks....

Hello jfreibe,

Have you tried this?

- Uncheck "Enable dragging and dropping".

- LOGOFF Limited Client.

- Logon Limited Client.

- Check "Enable dragging and dropping".

If this does not help, create a new Limited Client and
see if that helps.
