Cannot Download updates nor access web Pages From IE

Hi Guys
My problem is very unusual.
Earlier i did not have this problem
but for some days i cannot access web pages though i can conected to the
internet
..An error message is displayes that web site not found ,dns server error.
i tried to install the update pack for IE but the update could not be made
because
it cannot download the files,neither norton can do it's live update.
Well if you can help please do it.

Hi,
Easy steps first...
A complete shutdown for about 5 minutes- computer(s), modem, router-
everything.

Delete the Temporary Internet Files folder and the History folder. See:

If using Windows XP...
Open a Cmd window (or from Start> Run) enter
ipconfig /flushdns
Then restart.

If using XP SP2...
Log on as an administrator.
From Start> Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:
netsh Winsock reset

Any version of Windows, try this winsock repair tool:
WinsockFix...

You may have a malware problem. Try CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot and the
other programs listed and
