Cannot Download or Right Click

I have read alot of posts on here. I actually solved a couple of my
problems, but have one that persists.

I cannot right click at all in IE. Downloads will not start. The computer
seems to stop communicating when I click on a download. I am running XP
Version 2002 Service Pack 2. I get no response at all when trying to
download anything in IE.

I have went to another computer to download Ad Aware, Spybot, etc. They all
found items. But I am still having the problem and I'm at the end of my
rope. If I cannot find the cause soon, I will need to wipe out and reboot my
whole system.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

You'll need to search your registry for possible restrictions.
(Start...Run...Regedit) See these for possible help:

NoSelectDownloadDir - disables the file download dialog box
NoBrowserSaveAs - Disable the ability to Save As...
More info: http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/442/

The entry mentioned here also disables any downloading:
http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/901/
(This value is set via your Security settings in IE at Tools...Internet
Options...Security tab, Custom)

If you are still having trouble downloading:

Cannot Use Internet Explorer to Download Files
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306837
Or totally delete your History and TIF folders per the instructions here:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

As for no right clicking - NoBrowserContextMenu
More info: http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/442/

Before you edit the registry, make sure you understand how to restore it if
a problem occurs. For information about how to do this, view the "Restoring
the Registry" Help topic in Regedit.exe or the "Restoring a Registry Key"
Help topic in Regedt32.exe.
