I've registered to download the free version 3 times and still have
not received the email link...so I can't get any further. I have not
blocked the (e-mail address removed) email address. So what have I done
wrong?

thanks,

Is your ISP using anti spam software? They might be trapping the email from
AVG. My ISP uses it but I turned it off for my account.

Am I missing something ?
Why do you need a "confirmation E-Mail" to download the free AVG ?

You still need to enter a serial number with the FREE version. This is sent
to you by Grisoft

Hi Trev,

Try AVG-1-11251897-AQW to activate AVG.

Ray.

These days you get two mails, the first provides a time limited download
link, the second gets your serial number

Try this

if using internet explorer

ftp://ftp.grisoft.com/pub/softw/60/fe/avg6762fu_free.exe

if using ftp program accepts anonymous login

address
ftp.grisoft.com

sub directories
/pub/softw/60/fe/avg6762fu_free.exe

Use the serial number that was in a previous posting

How do get that beta version of the free version of AVG 7.0?
I'm on the ftp site, but I'm not what file I would need to get.

I installed AVG free earlier in the week, but it took 3 DAYS for the email
to arrive with the download link and serial number! And then it wouldn't
work on my laptop due to 'driver core not found error' (see my previous
thread). I have given up now and am using anti-Vir with no problems.
(AVG works fine on my desktop PC though, with the same download)

I send mine to a unix shell account and it arrives in seconds to
minutes. I've only downloaded AVG about 5 times, but it worked every
time. I'm wondering if some ISP's are filtering it as spam also.

And they say to add their (e-mail address removed) email address to your MSIE
Address Book, or you'll never see it. This is true, I get stuff from HP
that shows up when I check email with AvirMail, but could not receive until
I added their address to my Address Book.

Do you have some kind of email filter that only lets "friends" in?
Otherwise, I don't see how a message can be blocked just because the sender
is unknown.
