Linda

I am having problems when browsing on the web. Some pages
come up with the error message:
"The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable.
The Web site might be experiencing technical
difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings." I receive this message only with specific
pages. Other pages open correctly.
Please help, these are things I have done or checked on:
Lan Settings - Proxy Server - Disable
Manual: IE/Tools/Internet Options/Connections/Lan
Settings.
Uncheck Use a proxy server.....
Rename your hosts file

I'm having the same proplem, if you get a response, can you please forward
it to me? Thanks

Linda,
Symtom: Page cannot be displayed / Cannot find server or DNS Error

In the event you can not access a site and you believe it
may be due to an entry in the HOSTS file.

You can use a simple batch file to rename the HOSTS file "on-the-fly".
